Annabella "Nova" Terra
November Annabella Terra or Nova is a human female Ghost and assassin for the Terran Dominion. She was also supposed to be the star of Starcraft: Ghost, but the game was cancelled and she was instead properly introduced in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. Nova's life and adventures have become extensive enough that her back story and training have been covered in a manga series and a novel, with a second on the way.
She was born into a rich and powerful Terran Confederacy family, and lived in the Terra Skyscraper with the Nova family in Tarsonis City, Tarsonis. Unlike the majority of the Old families she possesses empathy and holds to the code of fair play. Part of her empathy comes from her powers of telepathy. Her father Constantino knew of her abilities early on but wasn't aware of their limits. She was limited to sensing emotions and lacked training because her family opposed the Ghost Program and hid her powers from them and Nova herself. In the Terran civilization it was standard for psychic children to be sent to the the Ghost Program for training. At the age of 15 after reading the mind of Morgan Calabas Nova learned about her psychic abilities. At that time Nova's parents decided it was best to send her at that point to the Ghost program. Days later Nova was on a vessel headed to a resort on Tyrador IX, but never made it. She felt her parents and their employees dying at the hands of Anti-Confederate Rebels. When she arrived on the scene she found her family and their employees dying at the hands of Edward Peter, Gustavo McBain and their rebellion. At that Point McBain was ordered to kill Nova, but was himself killed with his rebellion and hundreds of others. Nova's powers caused her to unleash her immense psychic powers without any control and in addition to hundreds dying she also destroyed part of the Terra Skyscraper as well. This event lead her to want to commit suicide but didn't go through with it. She was then recruited by Malcolm Kelerchian under orders from Ilsa Killiany. At that time Nova was given the code X41822N, even before becoming a formal member of the program. In StarCraft 2 Nova appears during Tosh's final mission to warn you that the Spectres Tosh wants you to free are all psychopathic maniacs that should stay locked up. Nova instead proposes that you follow her on a mission to shut down Tosh's Spectre facilities. Even though Nova is working for Mengsk during StarCraft 2, she offers you schematics to train Ghosts should you decide to help her. She doesn't join you on your quest, and as soon as you've completed the mission, Nova assassinates Tosh and vows to hunt down every rogue Spectre in the galaxy.
